Hello My Name Is...

Kim Gates

Hi, I’m Kim Gates.  I love being an educator, especially in the San Marcos Unified School District. I grew up in San Marcos and went to all San Marcos schools, including college.  I started my teaching career in San Marcos at Knob Hill Elementary School in 2007. After a year, I started working at SME as an upper grade teacher. I truly enjoy and love working at such a wonderful school.

Food: ALL food, especially pasta, tacos, sushi and sandwiches

Color: ALL colors

Hobby: Being active, working out, running, biking, swimming, spending time exercising my dogs

Sport:  I like to play soccer, softball, field hockey, kick ball, and ping pong.

Animal:  I love ALL animals, but my absolute favorite animals are dogs.
